Pop Up Dance Rehearsals

  • Tuesday, July 19th - 5:30pm-7pm
  • Wednesday, July 20th - 11am-12:30pm

  • Friday, July 22nd - 11am-12:30pm

 

Schedule of Events below are SUBJECT TO CHANGE:

 

Beginning Saturday, July 16

 

  • Medallion Hunt Find the medallion and win $500! Sponsored by Paulson Land Company. Must purchase a button to participate.

8:30am:

  • Bicycle ride to Glendalough to benefit refugees. Starts in Underwood, stops in Battle Lake on the way, and again on the way back.

10am to to 3pm:

  • Art of the Lakes open house and public arts display, the story of Battle Lake's public art.

12:30pm to 3pm:

  • Archery in the Park at Glendalough State Park

1pm:

  • Downtown walking tour of Battle Lake includes highlights of the Complete Streets project and new public art including ART stream and mosaics. Meet at "Rusty". No charge.

1pm to 5pm:

  • Parade of Homes. Tickets and maps at First Baptist Church; cost is $10.

 

Sunday July 17:

 

11am to 2pm 

  • Battle Lake First Lutheran Church Hog Roast- Open to the community- FREE will donation- Come rain or shine! 

1pm to 5pm and 1pm to 5pm Saturday July 16:

  • Parade of Homes. Tickets and maps at First Baptist Church; cost is $10.
 

Wednesday July 20:

 

9:30am to 11:30am:

  • Beginning Canoeing, at Molly Stark Lake Lake Fishing Dock. Glendalough State Park.

1am to 3pm:

  • Fishy-Fishy in the Brook. Meet at Molly Stark Picnic Shelter in Glendalough State Park. 

 

Thursday, July 21:

 

7:30pm:

  • Motu playing on the lawn at LACC. Freewill donations.

8pm:

  • Revolution 5 - Band specializing in Beatle's music at Stub's Beer Garden. $5 cover charge

 

Friday, July 22:

 

Crazy Days Downtown Battle Lake merchants.

 

6:30pm:

  • "Walking tour of historic Battle Lake" led by Chris Schuelke, director of Otter Tail County Historical Museum. Meet in front of Lake Areas Community Center (LACC). Cost is $6.

1pm to 6pm:

  • "Walk Through History" Exhibit at Battle Lake School. Featuring exhibits of all aspects of the community's history over the last 125 years. Sponsored by the Battle Lake Lions. No Charge.

8pm:

  • DJ Dance - Stub's Beer Garden.

 

Saturday, July 23:

 

8am:

  • Walk / Run - Registration begins at 7:15am at Battle Lake School. (Not LACC as previously reported.) 542 Education Foundation, Sponsor.

Crazy Days Downtown Battle Lake merchants.

 

9am to 1pm:

  • Farmer's Market at Railroad Park (Across from Larry's Foods).

9am to 2pm:

  • Craft Show and Food Booths West Main Street downtown. (Food Booths open till after parade.)

10am to 2pm: 

  • Kid's Carnival, Human Foosball, animal petting zoo and more! Railroad Park. RS the Rental Store and Bethel Church, Sponsors.

11am:

  • Turtle Races- at LACC Parking Lot.

11am to 12:00pm:

  • "Pop-up dancing tour of Battle Lake" in 3 locations downtown

10am to 5pm:

  • All school reunion at Battle Lake School; all day registration; classes meet 3 to 5pm in assigned rooms.

10am to 5pm: 

  • 2nd Minnesota Battery Reenactors with display and cannon. Prospect House and Civil War Museum lawn.

1am to 6pm:

  • "Walk Through History" Exhibit at Battle Lake School. Featuring exhibits of all aspects of the community's history over the last 125 years. Sponsored by the Battle Lake Lions. No Charge.

 

12:15pm:

  • Dennis Rogers, Navajo Nation Spirit Dancer/Educator, at Lakes Area Community Center (LACC).

2pm:

  • Bald Eagle Water Ski Show at Battle Lake Public Access on Lakeshore Drive.

4pm:

  • Human Foosball and Beanbag Tournament for YOUTH AND TEENS, Railroad Park, across from Larry's Foods.

7pm:

After Parade:

  • -Ice Cream Social at Senior Center, 205 W Main St., Free Will donation
  • -Street Dance at the Rusty Nail Burger and Beer Bar, Downtown Battle Lake
  • -Teen Dance at Battle Lake School
  • Dusk / Fireworks - Battle Lake School, sponsored in part by the city of Battle Lake, 1st National Bank, and others.

 

Sunday, July 24:

 

8am to 1pm: 

  • Lion's Pancake Breakfast at the Lion's Shelter.

10am

  • Community Church Service at Battle Lake School Football Field. In case of inclement weather, at the school's Royal Auditorium. 

11am to 3:00pm:

  • "Pop-up dancing tour of Battle Lake" in 3 locations downtown

1pm:

  • Family bike trip to Glendalough State park after Lion's Pancake Breakfast.

11am to 3pm:

  • "Walk Through History" Exhibit at Battle Lake School. Featuring exhibits of all aspects of the community's history over the last 125 years. Sponsored by the Battle Lake Lions. No Charge.

1pm:

  • Drawing for 125th Anniversary Rifle from Battle Lake Area Sporting Club
